Well, the leaves haven’t fallen yet, but now is probably the time to start making your plans for your stay in a Blue Ridge cabin rental.
In the Blue Ridge area, the peak of leaf color usually starts in early October and will extend through mid-November. Many of the Ash, Poplar, Maple and other trees will put on their show earlier in the fall than the Oak trees begin the grand finale, when all the Blue Ridge Mountains are blazing with color, will happen later. If you come to this area too early, don’t despair, the trees at Brasstown Bald start their show almost a full two weeks before the surrounding mountains! The seasons atop Brasstown Bald are two weeks behind in the spring (remember this when you are thinking about traveling or staying in North Georgia Mountains) and start their fall two weeks earlier. Last fall, my folks came up a couple weeks too early for the peak color, we went to Brasstown Bald and it was already at the peak of its glory!
