Early in the month of November, we grand finale of the fall leaves ends, and we begin that transition into winter. Many years our first snow is around Thanksgiving.

I went out hiking with the boys this evening, looking for signs of spring. I didn’t have to go far, as I walked down the porch stairs, I noticed that the dogwood trees are starting to open. 




March shares the characteristics of both Winter and Spring here in Blue Ridge. We usually have at least one snow event, but the flowers of Spring start arriving too. The Daffodils and Tulips lead the way being some of the first showy blossoms to arrive to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
