Ahhh Blue Ridge in December… Did You Know that Blue Ridge is on Ice?

Okay…so you’ve rented a cabin in the North Georgia Mountain for a weekend in December. Here at Sundance Cabin Rentals we understand that you’ve waited a long time to sit back and relax while taking in God’s Country in Beautiful Blue Ridge, Georgia. Up until now you’ve only dreamed of sipping on some hot cider while chilling on the front porch of a cozy cabin tucked in the woods with scenic mountain views. The big day has finally arrived…you’re here! You’ve left the city to leave all the hustle and bustle behind and that’s okay…but you might want to venture into the quaint little town of Blue Ridge because we have a surprise for you!

Blue Ridge is known for its awesome antique shops and trendy little clothes stores. There are scrumptious sweet shops to delight your palate, and of course you can ride The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and take a scenic trip to our neighboring town of McCayesville. Stock up on holiday gifts from Blue Ridge. Your family and friends will love receiving some special gifts from one of our local merchants. But here’s the best part of visiting Blue Ridge for the holidays….you can now enjoy an afternoon or an evening on ice. That’s right…Blue Ridge is on ice! You can now test your ice skating skills from November through February in downtown Blue Ridge.

While you’re taking in the sights of our quaint little town, don’t forget to reserve your spot on the ice skating rink located downtown in the Blue Ridge City Park just across from the Art Center. Join in the fun, and remember that ice skating is fun for kids of all ages. Can you remember a time when you were young and you spent those cold winter days ice skating on the neighborhood pond? It took you days and days before you could master that figure eight. While you’re visiting Blue Ridge you can re-spark some of those childhood memories by throwing on a pair of skates and trying to do that figure eight again. Okay…so even if you can’t make that figure eight, you can still have fun. That’s what Blue Ridge on Ice is all about-having fun while you’re here in the gorgeous North Georgia Mountains.

Remember that while you’re enjoying your stay in one of our comfortable mountain cabins…there’s a whole world to explore and it all begins in downtown Blue Ridge-where the fun begins!

My family recently visited this charming little town…what can I say? WE LOVED IT!! We had the pleasure of staying at Sundance Cabin Rentals and had a gorgeous mountain view. We were hoping for snow and it didn’t snow when were were here, but just the same the kids really enjoyed the ice skating!! From what I understand this was something new for
Blue Ridge !! So glad they added the ice skating…my kids have never tried it and we all had a blast!!!
